Paul N. Gross

Mr. Gross was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and is a product of the Pinellas County School system. He received a undergraduate degree from Florida State University in Political Science. While attending FSU, Mr. Gross was Interfraternity Council President and the Vice President of the Southeastern Inter Fraternity Conference, representing Florida and Georgia. He was also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, a leadership honor society and in 2002 enshrined in the Garnet & Gold Key Senior Hall of Fame. He received his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2005. During law school, he clerked for the Pinellas County Attorney’s Office and a well respected litigation firm based in Tampa.

Mr. Gross is a former Public Defender for the 6th Judicial Circuit and joined the firm of J. Emory Wood, P.A. in May of 2006.  Since joining the firm Mr. Gross has handled cases across the State of Florida.  Including participating in jury trials in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties.

In 2010 Mr. Gross was honored as one of the inaugural recipients of the “Rising Star Award” presented by the St. Petersburg Bar Foundation during their annual Hero’s Amongst Us Gala.  Later that same year he was appointed by Florida Governor Charlie Crist to serve on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Sixth Judicial Circuit.
For the past several years Mr. Gross has volunteered his time serving as legal counsel for “One Student”.  One Student is a non-profit organization that provides cutting edge programs, resources and opportunities that engage students to create social change to reduce sexual violence.  Mr. Gross currently serves on Temple B’nai Israel’s Board of Trustees.
Mr. Gross is currently married to Hannah and lives in Clearwater, Florida.
